Sara Edwards

Occupational Therapist

Sara is an Occupational Therapist with over 14 years of experience working with children and families in North West Tasmania in the public health, private, and educational sectors.

Sara has worked extensively with children aged 0-18 years, with challenges ranging from developmental delays, sensory processing issues, feeding difficulties, self-regulation, attention and concentration difficulties, handwriting and motor skill acquisition challenges, and more complex physical conditions and diagnosis.

Sara has a keen interest in sensory processing, modulation and emotional regulation, and is able to provide The Zones of Regulation and Highway Heroes programs. She has also completed training in children’s yoga, and can offer yoga inspired therapeutic interventions. Sara has experience with paediatric feeding and has completed Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding training. Sara is a trained facilitator in both the Peaceful Kids and Peaceful Parents positive psychology and mindfulness based programs, designed to assist children and parents with managing anxiety and supporting the emotional resilience of children.

When not working, Sara can be found with her family at the beach, riding bikes and camping. Sara’s vices are coffee and chocolate!
